Speakers

We have visiting speakers throughout the year and these are advertised in our Parish Newsletter. Recent speakers have included, Fr Richard McKay, Bishop Emeritus Crispian Hollis, Brother Loarne Ferguson and Gavin d’Costa.

Br Loarns Ferguson is giving a talk on Evangelising the Parish on Weds 20th Sept at 7pm in church.

Bible Study

On the 4th Thursday of each month, a group from Our Lady of Lourdes and Gorsley Baptist church meets for coffee, cake and Bible Study at 12 Aston Bank,  Aston Ingham. We have just experienced three exciting years accompanying St Paul and friends as they spread the Good News and battled with fanatical opponents in the trouble spots of the eastern Mediterranean. Before we embark on our next voyage of Biblical discovery, we invite new members to join our monthly sessions. We offer two hours of prayer, reflection, study, discussion and fellowship.

Days of reflection for Ministers of Communion and Ministers of the Word

Every year, usually during lent, we hold a day of reflection for our Ministers of the Word and Ministers of Communion. For the last two years these have been held at Belmont Abbey and have included participants from the Forest of Dean Parishes as well as our own ministers. We have enjoyed input from Dom Andrew Berry, participated in the midday office and mass, and had time for discussion and training.
