The Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Newent and St Michael's Blaisdon
Consists of the Church at Newent and a Mass centre at the Blaisdon Village hall.

Our Lady of Lourdes church has been undergoing an extensive change.

We've extended the church front and back; put in a new mezzanine floor over the narthex, a new kitchen beside the sacristy and two toilets(disabled friendly). We've renewed light, heat and sound systems. Pews are out; comfy chairs are in.
Great News ! We have completely refurbished the sanctuary.

A wonderful rear screen that is uinque
A new Altar Table
A new Ambo or Lectern (awaiting a carved St Cuthbert's Cross)
A new Presidential Chair
A new Crucifix
There is also a new Paschal Candleholder in the making.
And though much work has been done the debt is still no more than about £60,000.
Blaisdon Village Hall
The Community that meets round the Eucharistic Table in the Blaisdon Villlage Hall every Sunday is very open and welcoming
They have a reputation for producing great music and for getting involved in matters of justice and peace (CAFOD)
They are also involved in Fair Trade and in giving practical help to genuine Asylum Seekers
